Move conference to Virtual

Consequences of COVID-19

Due to the uncertainty about the restrictions in travelling during this year, the organizers decided to change the form of the conference from a traditional personal meeting to a virtual event. We apologize for this change which, as we hope, will be exceptional in the series of AE conferences. We believe that this change will not discourage you from submitting your papers.

Important changes:

  • The Proceedings will be published in print and sent to the first authors by post.
  • The Proceedings will be distributed shortly after the conference.
  • The conference fee will be reduced to 190 EUR.
  • The fee must be paid by July 31, 2020 at latest.
  • Each author can submit up to two papers for one conference fee.
  • Additional fee 20 EUR will be charged for 2 extra pages.
  • Price reduction 10% for IEEE members and 20% for IEEE-IES members remain.

  1. Technical test
    On September 2 there will be a test meeting where all participants may try the ZOOM service.
    This meeting will be from 10 am CEST (GMT+02:00) till 4 pm CEST (GMT+02:00).

  3. Presentation
    See our schedule to plan your participation.
    • Oral sessions will be established with technical support and chairmen. The presenter will have 15 minutes for his/her presentation + 5 minutes for discussion and answers to questions.
    • The presentation can be started from the presenter's laptop/PC. The presenters are responsible for the smooth running of their performance and can fully control the presentation.
    • Queries can be formulated and typed during the presentation in the chat or ask a question after the presentation. The course will be controlled by a chairman.
    • The presenter must be in the "room" 10 minutes before the beginning of the session.
    • By connecting to the session, the presenter agrees to the recording of the presentation.
    • Adherence to the schedule will be strictly required. The changes in schedule will be announced at start of the sections and on conference website.
    • For longer discussion after presentation you will be able to use other discussion "rooms".
